Ida Anderson

Ida graduated from the College of St. Scholastica with a degree in physical therapy. She practices in a unique, out-patient setting for St. Luke’s Hospital.

Ida is certified in mat pilates, reformer and yoga through Pro Health (a specialized training organization for medical professionals). Working in the pilates and yoga disciplines brought a new level of awareness to her rehabilitation training – and inspired Ida to reach to new heights in her own fitness level. Ida has noticed major improvements in posture, flexibility, mobility and strength through her immersion in pilates – both teaching and taking classes!

Pilates has truly revolutionized her practice. Ida works with clients at all levels from beginning to advanced students. Her clientele includes athletes, week-end warriors, college students, seniors, and stay-at- home moms.

To stay on top of industry advancements, Ida completes ongoing workshops sponsored by the Balanced Body University in Minneapolis and California.

Ida presents pilates principles workshops for the APTA and for medical professionals in the Duluth area. She is committed to pilates as an essential form of strength and rehab — in both her own life and in her professional practice.

Ida instructs at the Edge Pilates Studio and at St. Luke’s Hospital with the goal of empowering her clients to take control of their physical selves.  The phenomenal improvement Ida sees in her clients keeps her excited and amazed with the power of pilates.

“May the light in me greet the light in you!”
