Registered Nurse (RN), MS
Karen has over 25 years experience working in a variety of professional health and fitness settings. In 1985, she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of St. Theresa (Winona, MN). In 1992, she earned a Masters in Exercise Physiology/Kinesiology from Indiana University/Purdue University. Karen practiced as a Registered Nurse in both medical and cardiac intensive care positions. She focused on preventative care, health maintenance, and in cardiac rehabilitation.
Karen is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Specialist and with STOTT as a Pilates Instructor.
Karen has acquired significant experience in program development for heart disease prevention, personal training protocols and in group fitness instruction. She is a STOTT Pilates certified instructor for Reformer. Experienced in working with diverse populations – she serves a client base ranging from teens to mature adults and from athletes to cardiac rehab clients.
Her goal is to empower her clients to recognize and believe in their potential to live a happy, healthy and fit life.
